Dandy Dire! What's da happs baby? Glad to see you here. I hope life is treating you right. I miss your girlish printing. Anybody who ever received discs from Dire knows just exactly what I'm talkin' about!

Ha--that brings back memories! Recall his great detective work on the classic myth: markers somehow alter the encoding/disk integrity (is there ANY of that around here? SDH? "integrity meter", please?).

Dire found out this was bunk, and then, he followed up by abusing each and every disk he mailed, with, as you note, his distinctive writing style (what else was the Phud for, eh?).

Do also note, however, that he was somehow "given" to you in the great Tell + Mcglone vs Flow + Dire hoops match of the century. Too bad that never actually happened (except for my ailing back I suppose).

;)

If I recall it was only your leg injury that prevented a scheduling of that famed 2 on 2 match described above.

That seems like a LONG time ago...Telephone Tough Guy and all the rest.

No, Ian kept showing up wearing ice skates. Dire is right, you and the Canuck were toast for the giddy-up.

I'm the only 40 year-old dude showing up to play at my gym. Always the oldest and it's never even close.

Ha! That's funny. Our politics are probably more similar than you think.

Yes, I'd be down to meet some forumites in the Bay if the opportunity presented itself.
